We, the creative lot of Copacabana, gathered on the Australia Day long weekend to show our art works to the wider community and visitors at the Copa Surf Life Saving Club.
We showed amateur to professional works and we all had an exhilarating time. There was a real “buzz” at the show throughout the whole weekend and we would like to thank the community and visitors for getting behind our local artists.
From all proceeds we donated almost $1000 of the takings to the surf club.
We will be busy preparing for the June long weekend to have another show. The event will include art works from our local talented artists plus live music and wine tasting so we look forward to seeing you all there.
All interested artists that would like to participate and anyone that would like to help, please contact Suzie Goumas at roséandrenoir@gmail.com – but get in quick as spaces will
AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND – Details on how it went coming soon...
A roaring success for our Copa artists!
The first ever “Copa Creative” art show was held at the surf club on the long weekend. There was a fantastic attendance by both locals and tourists and some artists sold their first ever artworks which was very exciting!
The event was organised by a small team led by Suzie Goumas. Everyone involved put in a huge effort to make this a roaring success. Entry fee and 10% of all sales was donated to Nippers.
A big thank you to all of the artists who exhibited (unfortunately we only have room to picture a handful here). We are all looking forward to the show again next year which I’m sure will have even more local artists displaying their talents.
